A group of boys from St Pauls College, Manly, and teacher Joe Lee through the Tabitha Foundation, went to the village of Roka in Cambodia and helped the locals build homes for 17 families. Your Style contributed funds towards this project.
Design consultant Darren Tye has struck the right note in the building industry. Darren compares designing home additions to playing the piano – a talent which has also made him an accomplished musician.
“The two are definitely related,” Mr Tye said. “When you play the piano you have to play within classical chord structures and techniques, but there is still room to be creative.
It is the same with building design. You work within the building codes, council requirements and most importantly, what the client wants, but there is still room to be creative.”
