Tag Team Constructions Pty Ltd trading as Your Style Designer Home Additions was incorporated in December 1989 and has been operating throughout Sydney and in the last 15 years the northern suburbs. Our Builder, Col Macdonald, has over 25 years experience in home additions having built some 400 extensions in Sydney.

Our Design Consultant, Darren Tye B.Sc. (Arch) B. Arch, trained by well-known architect, Harry Seidler, has an easy going manner and takes the drama out of the design process creating an effective and tasteful extension for Your Style’s clients. Darren believes good design is good design whether he is working with a large budget or a very modest one, the principles he uses are still the same.

The Tradesmen – our team of trades have been with Your Style for some 10 years and some even longer. Col Macdonald believes using the same quality trades ensures a top class job every time. Our tradesman operate safely and efficiently to ensure the minimum of fuss and upheaval for our clients. Our sites are always left tidy and clean every day.

A few facts Your Style is proud of:

1. Check the Department of Fair Trading “Builder Check” License 60007C. Your Style is an honest and reliable building company and is determined to operate on a best efforts and reputation policy.

2. There has never been a claim or dispute lodged through the Building Services Corporation, Department of Fair Trading or Court action.

3. Your Style has never had a Development Application rejected by any Sydney council.

4. Your Style has been operating on the northern beaches for 17 years. Our Builder, Colin Macdonald, has 25 years experience and has personally built some 450 1st floor additions. Each job has a site foreman running the job with Col overseeing everything.

5. Our Concept drawings are accurate measured drawings with full dimensions not hand drawn vague sketches of what is proposed. How could anyone make a commitment worth hundreds of thousands based on vague sketches and verbal promises.

6. Col and Darren are partners in Your Style and therefore they work together to produce the best designs and highest quality building practices to produce a far superior home extension than elsewhere.

7. Our tradesmen are 1st class and have been working with our company for several years; our men know the standard of work we expect on our jobs.

8. We have never had a job go past the specified time detailed on our contracts, usually 20 weeks.

9. Our stairs are custom designed to your taste and style and made on site. Our Frames and Trusses are hand cut and made on site, the old-fashioned way, no prefabricated frames and trusses off the back of a truck and knocked into place, on our sites.

10. Our insurance policies i.e. $20m Public Liability, All Construction Works, Workers Compensation – we have never needed to make a claim on these policies. Your Style has a “Code Of Practice” document in place to protect workers and clients from any existing or potential danger on site.

11. Colin and Julie Macdonald and their children live locally and are devoted to the area and its community. Your Style sponsor the North Curl Curl Surf Life Saving Club with a 3 new surf boats and Club Nippers Sponsor, Harbord Devils JRLFC and Valley United Rugby League Clubs. Col and Julie believe in the philosophy of supporting other small businesses in the area and use local people and businesses for the day to day operations.

12. Local Council Inspectors have used Your Style for their own home additions due to the methods of building used i.e. master builder techniques – the old fashioned way.
